UpStaff Personnel is a social enterprise founded by Green Opportunities that provides motivated job seekers with a pathway to career-track employment opportunities, while offering a screened, dependable, and diverse workforce for Asheville-area employers. UpStaff is a member of the national Alternative Staffing Alliance.
UpStaff currently provides staffing solutions for the Hospitality, Housekeeping, Restaurant, and Construction industries.
Our thorough screening process for job candidates includes drug tests and background checks. Prior to job placement with an UpStaff employment partner, our staff meet one-on-one with job seekers to assess the stability of their lives. We identify those who are ready to take on the demands of full-time employment, and mitigate issues that could interfere with an employee’s performance on-the-job. Our team works behind the scenes as needed to provide support services, including childcare, transportation, and counseling.
How it works:
• Prior to placement with an UpStaff employment partner, most job seekers enroll in GO’s Ready to Work training program, where they complete a combination of soft skills instruction covering communication, teamwork, professionalism, and other essential skills, as well as one-on-one career coaching.
• GO Case Managers provide support services as needed during our Ready to Work training program and after job seekers are placed in a job.
• UpStaff provides liability insurance coverage for all program participants.
