This Holiday Season, Give Back to Your Community by Supporting GO’s Job Training Programs

Shop Local & Sustainable

Up-cycled cutting boards handcrafted by our YouthBuild students with reclaimed wood from the Edington Center gymnasium are now for sale! This is your chance to purchase a little piece of Southside history. Each cutting board is unique and features the mark of our young woodworkers-in-training, like Sarah, pictured here sanding a cutting board.

Two approximate dimensions are available, 9″ x 12″ ($35) and 9″ x 16″ ($45). Cutting boards are available for purchase at the Edington Center. Email Davis Jones at djones@greenopportunities.org to arrange a pick-up time.

Give to GO on #GivingTuesday

Mark your calendars! November 27 is #GivingTuesday, a global giving movement that celebrates all types of generosity. This year GO is celebrating our 10th Anniversary–that’s 10 years of creating sustainable employment pathways for hundreds of youth and adults from marginalized communities. Your gift this year will help us engage more Asheville residents with job training and employment opportunities.

Make a plan to give your time, skills, voice, goods, dollars — give whatever you can to show your support for job seekers engaged in GO’s training programs on Giving Tuesday.
