Southside Kitchen Community Lunches resume on Monday, January 4th

Happy New Year! GO Kitchen Ready is back in action and will be serving up our signature donation-based community lunches every Monday through Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, beginning on Monday, January 4th. You can always check our calendar for the daily schedule.

Whether you’re a seasoned Southside Kitchen visitor, or new to the neighborhood, we hope you will join us to enjoy a delicious community meal with your neighbors. All are welcome to attend these free lunches. Any donations you are able to provide go directly into the pockets of the GO Kitchen Ready students and graduates. See you soon!


Menu, Week of Monday January 4th:

All meals are served with a drink 

Monday, January 4: Chicken and rice, black-eyed peas, sauteed greens, salad, cookie and fruit

Tuesday, January 5: Collard greens and cornbread, stewed turnips, coleslaw, salad and cobbler with whipped cream

Wednesday, January 6: Sandwiches. Housemade bread, turkey, kale salad, fresh chips and baked apples with caramel

Thursday, January 7: Fish (fried or baked), pinto beans, stewed cabbage, tartar sauce and steamed sweet potatoes


Southside Kitchen is a donation-based soul food cafe and Interactive Culinary Classroom operated by the staff, graduates and students of the GO Kitchen Ready program.  Southside Kitchen is located in the Arthur R. Edington Education and Career Center at 133 Livingston Street in Asheville.
