Green Opportunities (GO) currently operates two social enterprises that work in conjunction with our training programs, Kitchen Ready Industries and Southside Woodworks. These enterprises offer paid transitional work experience to GO students and graduates, while also generating revenue that supports our training programs and increases their long-term financial sustainability.
Through our social enterprises, we aim to increase training and employment opportunities for both students and graduates, and expand the pipeline of motivated, experienced, and work-ready GO graduates to permanent, living wage jobs in our community.
Additionally, we operate Ready to Work, a staffing solutions service which provides local employers with screened, dependable help in hospitality, housekeeping, medical, manufacturing, construction, and general labor.
When you purchase a grab & go meal made by Kitchen Ready Industries, or a hand-made cutting board crafted by Southside Woodworks, you directly support our students, graduates, training programs, and community. Our social enterprise businesses can cater your next event or work with you to on custom woodworking projects.
