Ready to Work
GO’s Ready to Work workforce can meet your temporary, short-term and long-term staffing needs.
GO’s Ready to Work program provides motivated job seekers with a pathway to career-track employment opportunities, while offering a screened, dependable, and diverse workforce for local employers.
Ready to Work currently provides staffing solutions for the Hospitality, Housekeeping, Medical, Construction, General Labor, and Manufacturing industries.
Our thorough screening process for Ready to Work students includes drug tests, background checks, and 24 classroom hours of soft skills instruction. Prior to job placement with a Ready to Work employment partner, GO staff meet one-on-one with job seekers to assess the stability of their lives. We identify those ready to take on the demands of full-time employment, and mitigate issues that could interfere with an employee’s performance on-the-job. Our team works behind the scenes as needed to provide support for childcare, transportation, counseling, and crisis intervention.
How it works:
• Prior to placement with a Ready to Work employment partner, students complete 24 hours of soft skills instruction on the NC Working Smart curriculum: Self Management, Self Awareness, Work Ethics, Communication, and Problem Solving Skills.
• Students complete the Career Occupational Preference System (COPS) Interest Inventory assessment
• Full-time Case & Employment Managers on GO’s staff provide support services as needed during training and while on-the-job
• GO provides liability insurance coverage for all program participants
