Green Opportunities Offices Close with Continued Case Management and Student Support

Out of an abundance of caution, Green Opportunities will close the office except for essential staff to continue no-contact services on an, as needed basis. Case management services will continue remotely on an one-on-one basis.
“Green Opportunities office and YouthBuild program will remain focused on providing essential services to our students during this rapidly evolving circumstance in our community,” says Board Chair Sherman Williams. “We are moving on the side of prevention and the health of the greater community due to the COVID-19 concern.” Effective immediately, Green Opportunities will modify our operating procedures as follows:
– GO office will close until further notice, we will re-evaluate on March 30, to determine further action based on community situation/needs.

– All other staff must work from home.

– Routine client appointments will be performed by phone.

– Transportation to emergency/urgent client appointments will be provided only by staff who are not at higher risk.

– All staff must avoid face-to-face contact with clients, and colleagues.

– All employee travel is canceled until further notice.

We recommend that everyone take steps to protect yourself and reduce the likelihood of a rapid uptick in community transmission. For the latest local updates visit Buncombe County’s website.
