In GO’s 6-month YouthBuild program, out-of-school youth ages 16-24 earn a GED while also earning nationally-recognized credentials, participating in hands-on training and service projects, and developing the life skills needed to successfully start a career or college. Kitchen Ready Cycle 24, starting in January!
The 15-week GO Kitchen Ready program for adults 18+ prepares graduates for employment in the culinary industry and food service. Classes cover basic culinary skills including sanitation, knife skills, culinary math, equipment identification, recipe scaling, kitchen communication, teamwork and cleanliness. Kitchen Ready students earn the ServSafe® food handler’s certification and participate in cooking demos and internships with chefs from local restaurants. A portion of the program is devoted to essential life skills training, including resume writing, interviewing, and job retention skills. Click here to learn more about Kitchen Ready.

Young Adult Leadership Program, starting in January!
We’re gearing up to pilot a new youth leadership program in January, 2020. This 15-week program will meet three mornings each week. Participants will gain leadership skills, career readiness and soft skills through workshops, field trips and service projects. Class will be held Monday-Wednesday from 9am-12pm. Participants can also opt-in to GO’s Thursday/Friday Youth Corps GED classes offered in partnership with A-B Tech. Click here to learn more.
