Beginning September 18, Green Opportunities’ donation-based meals are now open to community members on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the Southside Community Kitchen. Lunch will be served on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-1:00 pm, while brunch will be available on Fridays from 10:00-11:00 am.
All community members are invited to attend these community meals. The suggested donation is $5 per person per meal. Your continued financial support makes these meals possible, so please make a donation for your lunch whenever you can.
Southside Community Kitchen is Green Opportunities’ donation-based restaurant and interactive culinary classroom, located inside the Arthur R. Edington Education & Career Center at 133 Livingston Street in Asheville. GO’s Kitchen Ready culinary students are responsible for prepping, cooking, and serving these meals, which allows them to gain valuable on-the-job training in both a commercial kitchen and front of house dining room setting.
Southside Kitchen is open to the community most weeks, but sometimes closes for holidays and training program activities.
