Whether they are churches, schools or other community-minded groups, our Community Partners provide the resources and support necessary to deliver successful GO programs.
Our 2010 Community Partners include:
Asheville-Buncombe Community Christian Ministry has contracted GO to provide weatherization training and case management services to low-income, unemployed people in Asheville as part of a US Department of Labor Pathways Out of Poverty grant.
Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College offers Human Resources Development and GED prep courses directly to clients at our facility.
Bountiful Cities Project's mission is to create, on urban land, beautiful community spaces that produce food in abundance and foster a learning environment for social justice and sustainability.
Clean Water for North Carolina
Community Action Opportunities provides life coaching to GO clients through the Life Works self-sufficiency program and partners on weatherization assistance projects for low-income households.
Little Mountain Builders
Mountain Area Workforce Development Board has contracted GO to provide training and placement services to out-of-school youth.
The American Adventure Service Corps (TAASC)
The City of Asheville provides free facility space at community centers, funds community development activities and partners with us on our afterschool program.
The Housing Authority of the City of Asheville assists with recruitment, provides free van usage, and has hired GO to complete weatherization services on public housing units.
