VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

The time commitment required varies for each position. Please let us know your availability when inquiring about volunteer positions.

 

• Office Reception- Answering phones, greeting clients and answering basic program questions.
• Office Support – Coming in either regularly or on as needed basis to do things like making copies, organizing, data entry. This could be combined with Office Reception.
• Job Coaching – GO has a lot clients that are looking to be placed in jobs and need support with creating resumes and developing interview skills.
• Mentoring/ Tutoring – GO members working towards acquiring their GED’s can often use periodic academic support to meet their academic goals. Tutoring usually leads to life skills support and mentoring for the members and their families. 
• Family Support - Many GO clients live below the poverty line and we currently need help coordinating distribution of donated clothes. This could turn into a bigger position depending on the interest of the volunteer.
• Assistance with Events – With several public events planned throughout the year, we can always use extra help to make these events a success.
• Transportation - Many GO members only have access to public transportation and occasionally they need help to make it to DSS or court or other imperatives.
